  • William Brewer, a highly regarded criminal defence barrister with over four decades of experience, sought to refresh his professional identity to align with his reputation for astute advocacy and expertise. He needed a modern logo, website, and additional brand assets that conveyed his stature and professionalism while remaining approachable to both clients and colleagues. The challenge was to create a visual identity that would reflect his modern approach, extensive experience while taking in the context of his industry.

  • My approach began with a deep understanding of William's unique position within the legal industry. Through a series of design concepts, I explored various visual identities that could convey both authority and accessibility. The logo design was refined to reflect William’s long-standing reputation, using clean lines and classic typography. For the website, we focused on a simple user experience, showcasing his expertise through professional photography and concise, engaging content. Finally, I extended his brand into social media assets, ensuring consistency across all platforms.

  • The result was a cohesive, polished brand identity that confidently represented William Brewer’s professionalism and expertise. The new logo exuded simplicity and strength, while the website offered an intuitive platform for both clients and colleagues to learn about his services and background. The additional brand assets, including professional photography and social media graphics, reinforced his image as a respected, approachable barrister. Feedback from both William and his peers was overwhelmingly positive, enhancing his professional presence in a competitive field.

Logo

Foundation

The first step involved defining keywords that captured William's core services and strengths. These keywords then guided the creation of simple iconography to initiate the creative process.

Creative Direction

The next step was finalising the keywords that helped inspire the logo's identity. These keywords guided the initial creative direction, leading to visual concepts that aligned with the brand and its values.

Exploration

With an icon direction set, I began sketching various logo concepts to explore its potential. These rough sketches explored different ways to represent the keywords, typography, and iconography.

Final icon

I refined the sketches into a polished design. By applying shape and colour theory techniques and making necessary adjustments, the final artwork was crafted to be professional and visually impactful.
